The Potluck Spinners and Weavers in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia
would like to invite one and all to a potluck gathering in celebration of
the fine spring weather.
On Saturday May 10th, we will gather at the Greenwich Community Hall just
outside Wolfville, Nova Scotia, from 10am to 4pm. Bring your wheel, table
loom, spindle, knitting or just yourself for a casual day of spinning,
weaving, eating and chatting. The Potluckers have arranged for a light
lunch, and we will each be bringing something sweet to entice you with!
(light lunch = not so light dessert 😉
So far we have a number of spinners, weavers and knitters coming from around
Nova Scotia, and we hope to get a few from Prince Edward Island and New
Brunswick as well. Come join the Potluck Spinners and Weavers,
Spindrifters, Atlantic Spinners and Handweavers and Kedgi Weavers for an
hour, the morning or the whole day.
Anyone travelling from afar, please touch base with me, as there are many
comfy beds at the homes of our guild members. We’d be more then happy to
If you plan on joining us, please drop me a line with the number of people
coming, just so we are prepared with chairs and food. Don’t forget to bring
things to show off, pictures of your past projects, gatherings and fibre
trips. There will be no agenda for the day, no formal show and tell, no
workshops, just an enjoyable day with fellow fibre enthusiasts. We expect
this to be a reminder of the fun that was had at the Maritime Spinning
Retreat last fall, and a day that will get you excited about what is yet to
come in New Brunswick in the fall of 2003.

See you all next Saturday.
