Someone was asking how we became the Potluck Spinners and Weavers.  The name actually happened by accident, it wouldn’t have been my first
choice, but it certainly fits considering how much food plays a part in our
gatherings. We were trying to decide on a name, I had scoured the internet
and books for suggestions, and we weren’t moving forward very fast. Lunch
was approaching, so we decided to take a break from the discussion, at that
point I jokingly said something about the potluck spinners, and it stuck.
